LendPlus Language Policy

In terms of the National Credit Act, 34 of 2005

1. Consumer Language Rights

In accordance with Section 63 of the NCA, every consumer has the right to request and receive any legally required document related to a credit agreement in an official South African language of their choice.

2. Available Languages

LendPlus currently provides key documentation and communication in the following official languages:

  • English (default)
  • Zulu

Other languages may be supported on request, where reasonably practicable.

3. Types of Documents Covered

The following documents may be made available in Zulu (in addition to English) on request:

  • Loan quotations
  • Credit agreements
  • Section 129 notices (debt enforcement)
  • System-generated communications (e.g. emails and SMSes)
  • General written correspondence

4. Customer Support in All Languages

LendPlus partners with call centre providers whose staff are trained to communicate in multiple official languages, including Zulu, Xhosa, and other widely spoken African languages. Customers are welcome to request verbal explanations of documents in their preferred language.
